Star Asia is focused on investing in and originating Asian commercial real estate fixed income opportunities. Star Asia Finance provides customized debt financing solutions to real estate borrowers including private equity investors, asset managers, and real estate brokers and developers who invest in Asian properties.

Our investment team’s core strength comes from our extensive background as real estate lenders in tight-knit real estate community in Asia. It is supplemented with depth of knowledge as real estate developers, NPL investors, CMBS investors and structured finance professionals.

Star Asia delivers customized financing solutions to the borrowers by combining deep understanding of local real estate markets and superior access to global capital markets. Its streamlined decision-making process and extensive execution experience assures timely execution with high level of certainty, which brings borrowers back for repeat businesses.

To accommodate financing amounts larger than our ultimate hold level of $10 to $60 million, we often line up co-lenders by using our extensive relationships with both balance sheet lenders and securitization lenders in Asia.

Star Asia is externally managed by Star Asia Management, a joint venture company between Cohen & Company and Mercury Partners.
